L-glutathione is a substance produced by the body and is a peptide, i.e. a small protein molecule consisting of three amino acids. It is found in virtually all cells of the body and serves as the body's own antioxidant. Because it is the most powerful antioxidant in our organism, it is often called the "mother of all antioxidants". It has a tremendous ability to fight oxidative stress and neutralise harmful free radicals (hence the name “free radical scavenger").
